On April 23, the Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology Youth Volunteers Association and the Young Volunteers Association of the Foreign Languages Institute went to Hangzhou Experimental Foreign Language Primary School to receive books they had collected for Hangzhou Xiasha Second Elementary School. It is reported that these books will be transferred to Xiasha No. 2 Primary School to build a more comprehensive library for them.
This activity was part of the Xiasha No. 2 Primary School Book Donation Campaign. Under the communication of the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of the school, the book collection activity received positive responses from teachers and students of Hangzhou Experimental Foreign Language Primary School. During the activity, children continued to send their idle books, with diverse content and rich topics. Volunteers found that most of the books raised were well-preserved, and there were even new ones. Teachers of foreign language elementary schools said that in order to donate books, some students went to bookstores to purchase some practical books, hoping to contribute their love.
On the morning of the same day, 18 volunteers from Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology sorted and packed the collected books. After repeated checks, it was confirmed that a total of 879 books were received in the recruitment activity at Hangzhou Experimental Foreign Language Primary School. Previously, the school's volunteers had launched book collection activities at the school's student activity center and Xiasha Dabei community, and they all received good response. College student volunteers believe that these books will give care to the children of Xiasha Second Elementary School and add a touch of scent to their childhood.
